President's Welcome

On behalf of the brothers the Zeta Zeta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I welcome you to our website.  We boast a roster of very diverse and accomplished members.  However, the common thread that binds us is a heart and passion for service and leadership.  The Zeta Zeta Lambda Chapter has a very rich history and traditon.  The past work of our Chapter has been acknowledged on both local and national levels.  This year will be no exception!  We have planned a full roster of service and social programs, all with the intended purpose of positively impacting our community.   Please check our website and social media outlets for more information.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity was founded on the campus of Cornell University and is the first inter-collegiate Greek-lettered organization established for African American men.  Since its founding in 1906, Alpha has continually strived to impact lives and communities across the globe.  We are a voice for the voiceless, an advocate for the downtrodden and oppressed, and a champion for education. The Brothers of the Zeta Zeta Lambda Chapter work hard to uphold our Fraternity Aims of Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind.  We take a holistic and cross-generational approach to serving the Queens Community.  This is evidenced by our work with the seniors of Alpha Phi Alpha Senior Citizen Center and the Brother’s Keeper Program, the youth who participate in our Project Alpha and Go To High School Go To College programs and several of our staple community service projects such as The Healthy Man and Thanksgiving Day Baskets programs.

To learn more about our Chapter’s programs and events, find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/zzlalphas, follow us on Twitter @ZZLAlphas, or follow us on Instagram at ZZL_Alphas.

Finally, we are a Chapter devoted to the Business of Brotherhood.  Therefore, I extend a warm and hearty invitation to all Brothers of Alpha to attend our monthly Chapter meetings held at 2pm on the third Saturday of each month (September to June) at the Alpha Phi Alpha Seniors Center (http://www.alphaseniorcenter.org).  The doors of our Chapter are set on open hinges to all Brothers of this great fraternity.

Humbly,

Brother Kenyatta J. Andrews
